Braves Opening Day Block Party Signing Opportunity in Summerhill

On Thursday, March 28, the Atlanta Braves will celebrate Opening Day with an Opening Day Block Party in Summerhill, one of Atlanta’s most historic neighborhoods. In the leadup to the 50th anniversary of Hank Aaron’s record-breaking 715th home run at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium, the Braves invite fans to return to the scene of that historic moment to welcome the 2024 season. Fans will enjoy a block party along bustling Georgia Avenue as the Braves take over to celebrate Opening Day while the team is on the road taking on the Philadelphia Phillies. There will be live performances and interactive elements all along Georgia Avenue, including watch parties, food and drinks from local restaurants, live music, performances and appearances from Braves entertainment teams, free giveaways, and more!
The Opening Day Block Party in Summerhill begins at 3 p.m. ahead of the 3:05 p.m. first pitch. Multiple free parking lots are available along Georgia Avenue.
Summerhill features a variety of restaurants, shops, and more. During the game, explore a variety of activities including:
Enjoy contests hosted by Braves' In-Game Host Otis Maher while grabbing a drink at Halfway Crooks' Biergarten
Watch the game at Wood’s Chapel BBQ’s beautiful patio space. Catch performances by the Atlanta Braves Heavy Hitters, Tomahawk Team, and BLOOPER. Also see a live chalk art mural celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hank Aaron’s 715th home run.
Participate in a live community chalk art activation outside Southern National.
Come dance with the Los Bravos team at BOCA. Taste their amazing food then dance to a live salsa band from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on their outdoor patio space.
Shop, dine, and enjoy all that Summerhill has to offer! Watch out for pop-up performances and appearances by the Braves’ entertainment teams all throughout the neighborhood.
